Inspired by the Caribbean carnival celebration, As The Sun Rises Again is a “feel good” dance work. A “get down and shake it out” ballet, As The Sun Rises Again blends traditional Black dance styles within the classical ballet, adding to its depth. Performed to the music of Fonclaire, a steel pan orchestra, As The Sun Rises Again attempts to blend the notion that with “community” all things are possible. Celebrate, the sun will rise tomorrow.
