Symphonic Dances of ’57 is an abstract work inspired by William Forsythe’s In The Middle, Somewhat Elevated and Bernstein’s West Story score. Comprised of four sections, Symphonic Dances of ’57 is a percussive and staccato-rich work with attack complements Bernstein’s lyrical and majestic composition.
