Open Houses

Giving prospective students a chance to try a class, The Ngoma School provides open house events to meet families and students in the community.

Impacting the arts community through public classes, Dissonance Dance Theatre provides workshops, and audition classes at the Joy of Motion Dance Center H St NE location. 

Community Performances

The Ngoma School and Dissonance Dance Theatre have conducted community performances in Washington, DC, and Maryland. Conducting several community performances in places such as churches, theaters, bookstores, and bars Ngoma/DDT strives to meet their communities where they are.

The Ngoma School provides studio performances of students from across the region in the summers and during the school year at the student’s end-of-the-year evaluations.

Dissonance Dance Theatre presents a multi-production theatrical season for the public. Additionally, The Ngoma School performs in selected DDT productions annually and in invited performance engagements across the region.
