Early Steps Program
The joy of dance begins with creative movement classes at Ngoma Center for Dance. We introduce young children to the fundamentals of dance, focusing on proper body alignment, basic ballet technique, music, and terminology, and musicality. As part of the Ngoma School family, your energetic young child will learn much more than dance. Exposure to dance reinforces important life skills like creativity, discipline, and team participation—all in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment.
Early Steps offers an annual dance programming structured with diverse class offerings, developed on a balanced curriculum reviewed by Faculty and its Director Shawn Short, MFA.
Early Steps programs for students five to seven years old.
Students have a Parent Observation day (with an informal showing of progress) on the last day of Fall/Spring semesters.
