Maurissa has danced featured roles in Keith Lee’s Did He Jump or Was He Pushed and JAG, Julia Mitchell’s Palette of Influence, Brandye Lee’s Requiem des Roses, Rainey Jarrell’s Letter To My Love and Timothy O’Donnell’s Femmes Célébrant.Maurissa was a National medalist for Ballet at NAACP’s Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics, and a 2021 Lauren Anderson Scholarship winner. Maurissa has performed with Madison Ballet, Ruth Page Civic Ballet Training Company, Charlottesville Ballet and in the Kennedy Center’s Reframing the Narrative with Ballethnic Dance Company.
